Two Axkid Minikid Max in a Skoda Kodiaq. Kids are growing out of their current seats, Britax Swingfix and BeSafe iZi Plus. In the front seat with Isofix we have a BeSafe iZi Modular.

One parent is currently sitting in the middle and has to climb in on every trip which is a poor solution. We try mainly BeSafe Stretch and Minikid 4 Pro/Max to find a good setup.

Preference from parents is two of the same seat. Stretch kind of works in the middle but the ARB is as usual in the way and ends up on top of seat belt buckles. The more narrow front of Minikid is a better fit. We also try front seat where view in mirror is poor with Stretch.

Minikid 4 Max installed next to each other with good leg space for the kids and an adult can now sit comfortably behind driver. Angle around 30 degrees and easy to attach tether straps under seat rails.

When installing two seats next to each other belt installation is almost a must. We also move one seat closer to the door to make room in middle seat.

Axkid Minikid Core and BeSafe Stretch installed in a BMW X2. Stretch already in back seat and another rear facing seat is needed.

BMW X2 is not a large car and Stretch needs quite a bit of space so we try Minikid 4 Pro, 4 Max and Minikid Core since these are the most compact rear facing seats with belt installation and also provide best view in right side mirror.

Axkid ONE 3 is actually the most compact rear facing seat but requires Isofix which is rarely available in front passenger seat.

Core is selected and we move Stretch to the front seat. We protest mildly (lol) against Stretch in the front seat since view in right side mirror usually is terrible. But surprisingly actually great in this car.

Tether straps are quickly attached under seat rails and support leg is as usual extended at the very end to make sure installation is rock solid. We also crossed straps behind the seat.

Core in the back seat and installation is very simple since it doesn`t need tether straps. Thread seat belt through car seat, close the two green clamps and extend support leg. Done! Core in position two which means angle around 30-35 degrees which is perfect for a younger child.

Relax when looking at photo number four since angle is way too high but child was snacking while we were installing and talking car seats:-)

Axkid Minikid 4 Pro, Britax Max-Way Plus and a "mystery seat" in a Kia Ceed. Trying seats to find a good option for front seat. MW Plus is an awesome seat but usually terrible up front.

At first a "mystery seat" behind passenger (photo number eight). Who has the skills to identify this seat....:-)?

Trying Minikid 4 Pro, 4 Max and Axkid Core since they offer best view in right side mirror. Tough decision but Minikid 4 is final choice and installed up front with airbag off and 30-35 degree angle.

Very easy to attach tether straps under seat rails and great view in right side mirror. Straps crossed behind seat for easier and tighter installation. MW Plus behind passenger with around 30 degree angle.

BeSafe iZi Plus in an Audi Q5. We took care of the usual issue with broken spring in the head support in our workshop.

The seat is like BeSafe Stretch not a good option in front seat due to poor view in right side mirror. But tight in back seat with another child and iZi Plus needs huge amount of space depth wise.

Easy to attach tether straps under seat rails and straps were also crossed for firmer installation.

Axkid Minikid 4 Max and BeSafe Stretch in a Kia Niro. Stretch installed impressively rock solid by parent. One of the best installations we`ve ever seen.

Minikid 4 Max in the front with airbag off and 35 degree angle for young child. Tether straps attached in seconds thanks to huge space under seat rails.

To make installation easier and more firm we crossed straps behind the seat. As usual great view in right side mirror which is usually the case with Minikid 4.

Axkid ONE 2 and Axkid Minikid Core in a Hyundai i30. A 2.5-year old is sitting in his ONE with massive leg space and a small baby is soon growing out of her infant seat and needs a rear facing seat for the passenger seat.

We try Axkid Minikid 4 Pro/4 Max and Minikid Core since these provide best view in right side mirror. All three work fine but Core is selected since it doesn`t use tether straps and installation therefore is extremely easy.

Core in the photo was placed on the seat with base in position two. That means angle of 30-35 degrees in most cars which is suitable for young children.

Angle is normally around 20-25 degrees with base in position one. We avoid angle higher than 35 degrees for safety reasons.

Front seat has been adjusted to its lowest position and view in right side mirror is great.

Axkid Minikid Core in a VW Golf with airbag off. Trying seats and another rear facing seat is needed up front. In the back already a BeSafe Stretch.

Trying Axkid Minikid Core, Minikid 4 Pro and 4 Max since these provide best view in right side mirror. Stretch also needs quite a bit of space so a compact seat is needed up front.

Trying seats in all positions and they also work behind driver and in middle rear next to Stretch.

Core is the best option for this family and installation as usual crazy easy. Simply thread seat belt through front of seat, remove slack and close the two green clamps. Then extend support leg. Done! Angle is set to positon two with 30-35 degrees.

No tether straps needed and Core will still handle kids to around 125-130 cm and about seven years with a maximum of 28 kg. Also Plus Test approved!

Angle of 30-35 degrees for younger child with built in angle adjuster in position two. Good leg space for child and huge leg space up front for a tall adult.

As child grows seat can be installed far more upright so child has massive leg space.

BeSafe Stretch and Britax Max-Way Plus installed in a Lynk (Volvo XC60). Great car but not spacious on the inside.

MW Plus far more compact than Stretch and placed behind fairly tall driver. 30 degree angle on MW Plus for younger child.

Installing seats next to each other would also work to make room for two kids and three adults.

Stretch needs a wash......

Axkid Minikid 4 Max in a Toyota Rav 4. Parents need a seat which fit well both in front and rear so we try different seats and combinations.

Trying Axkid Core, Minkid 4 Pro and Minikid 4 Max since these always provide best view in right side mirror.

All seats fit well and two next to each other in backseat works well in case family need space for two kids and three adults without adult using uncomfortable middle rear.

Minikid 4 Max installed against dashboard with airbag off and good view in right mirror. Straps in Toyota as usual attached in seconds, no need to attach loops.

Angle around 30-35 degrees and we also crossed tether straps behind seat for firmer installation.

Since seat also will be used in the rear we attached an extra pair of lower tether straps. Moving and re-installing is now very quick.

Axkid Core in a Peugeot 5008. Axkid Minikid 3 already behind passenger and family needs another rear facing seat.

Preferable for middle seat so a person can fold outside seat and enter third row. Easy installation and compact size desired and we try ONE 3 and Core in different positions.

Core then installed in middle seat. Very easy since Core only uses seat belt and support leg. No tether straps needed and maximum weight still an impressive 28 kg.

Core has a tall back similar to ONE 3 which means rear facing to around seven years or about 125-130 cm.

Seat adjusted to position two with more recline for young child. Peugeot 5008 has three “real” seats on second row which is very practical.

Axkid Minikid 4 in a Seat Arona. Amazingly beautiful color which is crazy impractical. At least in Sweden with snow, rain, mudd, sand, etc.

Installed with 35 degree angle, little leg space for young child and nice room up front for an adult.

Parent was skeptical to attaching tether straps under seat rails but we showed how easy it is. Pull straps backwards and front seat can then be moved far backwards if car seat is removed.

Axkid ONE and BeSafe iZi Plus in a Volvo V70. Trying new seats for the family and snapping a few pics with current setup.

ONE is the most compact rear facing seat and also slides on a rail so leg space for child is almost unlimited. Todays seat with around 30 degree angle and massive leg space.

Previous large seller iZi Plus up front with airbag off. Needs giant space in the car but installation up front usually great regardless of car thanks to the ARB at feet of child.

Downside is view in right side mirror which usually is near zero. Like in todays car.

Nice adventure with a Ford Mustang Mach-E and three rear facing seats. When I think about Mustang my memories go back to the 80’s, small back seat, convertible and the nice sounding V8 engine. Useless car for small kids and nothing like the new spacious model.

Parent already has an Axkid ONE 3 and a BeSafe Stretch. Great seats but rarely good options for fitting three across.

We try a few different combinations and the new seat will be an Axkid Minikid 4 Pro or Max since it’s the most compact rear facing seat with belt installation. The seats also both work well next to others.

ONE 3 is the most compact rear facing seat and is placed behind driver. Stretch needs far more space and is placed behind passenger. And then a Minikid 4 Pro in the middle.

Installation in middle rear next to a seat with Isofix usually works poorly but surprisingly well in this car. Stretch is pulled a bit closer to the door and Minikid kids easily fits.

Axkid Minikid Core and BeSafe Stretch in a VW Passat. Brand new Core is Plustested but does not use tether straps which means very easy installation. Especially in the front seat with airbag off.

A ”disadvantage” of Core is less photos with seats completely installed. When parents see the easy installation they bring the seat home and install themselves.

We tried the seat up front with good view in right side mirror and also improved installation of Stretch. Remember to pull up support leg, press down on seat to make the self-adjusting straps work and then extend leg again at the very end. Seat will then be rock solid.

Axkid Minikid 4 Pro installed in a Ford Ranger. In the background a Britax Max/Way Plus which was re-installed a bit tighter.

We are trying seats to make sure it will both fit the child and in the car. This 7-year old easily fits in her Minikid with plenty of space up front.

Good with rear facing safety when the family is doing lots of adventures. Nice leg space for child with angle of 25-30 degrees which could be a bit more upright if needed.
