Axkid Minikid 4 Max – Coastal Storm Black

Axkid Minikid Max is replacing Minikid 4.  Approved rear facing from 61 cm for the R129 (i-Size) car seat standard with a maximum weight of 36 kg and of course approved for the ultra tough Plus Test.  Self-locking tether straps, very compact size, magnets in shoulder pads, ASIP and rear facing until around 9 years or about 140 cm are the main features.

Minikid Max is quickly installed thanks to the self-locking tether straps and a single belt clip in middle of the seat. Fasten seat belt, attach tether straps, push down slightly on seat while wiggling side to side and seat will be rock solid.  Very detailed instructions for installation are also available by BILT.  Simply point your smartphone camera to the QR code and easy step by step videos and photos will be shown.  Very helpful for those not used to installing rear facing seats.  Despite its impressive capacity Minikid Max is one of the most compact rear facing seats available and will fit well in cars small to large.

Head support is manually adjusted in 13 different positions with one hand. Angle of seat is adjusted in three different positions by adjusting bar under front of seat.  Use the optional angle adjuster in cars where vehicle seats slope more than usual.  Regardless of car or sloping seats it’s always possible to find a good position so head of child doesn’t fall forward while sleeping

Leg space for child is adjustable according to your preferences.  For young children no leg space is needed and Minikid Max can be installed against back of vehicle seat making it very compact.  Install seat further forward on vehicle seat for older children to provide an additional 30 cm of leg space if needed.  Minikid Max is officially approved 61-125 cm according to the R129 car seat standard but the seat will last rear facing to around 9 years or about 140 cm with a maximum weight of 36 kg thanks to an extremely tall back.

The seat can accommodate very tall kids but is also a good fit for the young ones thanks to a very supportive baby insert.  Sides and bottom of the insert can be separately removed making a nice fit very flexible.  We recommend to start using Minikid Max when child can sit unassisted.  Magnets in shoulder pads are new for this model. Especially helpful to hold harness to the side when entering and exiting with the youngest children.

Minikid Max has spacious inside dimensions and exterior width is only 44 cm which is very helpful when placing two or three seats next to each other or wanting to maximise space for adults.  Seat is Plus Test approved for maximum safety and also has ASIP (Axkid Side Impact Protection) in case of a collision from the side.  Textile has been upgraded and new colors same as for Axkid ONE 3.  It contains no chemicals, is easily removed and washed at 30 degrees.
