Britax Max-Way Plus in a classic Citroen 2CV. Not sure but don`t think attachment loops are common in this car;-)
Grandchild won`t be traveling much this summer but a good Plustested rear facing seat is always helpful. Performance of this car in a collision is likely not awesome.
Tight in the back seat even though MW is a compact seat but the car is quite small.

Axkid UP in a Renault Scenic. Trying booster seats for a 7-year old around 115 cm tall. A little taller would be preferred but rear facing to age seven isn`t too bad:-)
Focusing on seats with a shorter seat cushion and we try Axkid UP, Maxi-Cosi Rodifix Pro 2, Rodifix R, Britax Kidfix Pro, Britax Safefix and booster pillows in several positions in the car.
All actually fit pretty well, child is very mature and no problems sitting still. The new Safefix from Britax was a very close contender.
UP with foot support is selected and we also have a Britax Max-Way and Max-Way Plus in back seat. No problem fitting all three together.

Axkid Minikid 4 Max in a Volvo XC 90 with airbag off. BeSafe iZi Modular RF i-Size behind passenger seat. Family is departing for long trips and looking for something working well in front seat.
Car is a 2026 T8, not only one of the safest cars ever, but also a rocket. Weighing 2.5 ton, this is the ultimate car in a collision, and 0-100 in around 4.5 seconds. Seven seats, room for family and other kids and also a beautiful vehicle.
As usual we are trying many different seats in various positions. BeSafe Stretch, Minikid Core, Minikid 4 Max/4 Pro, Britax Max-Way Plus, etc.
Minikid 4 Max installed up front at 35 degree angle and no angle adjuster needed. View in right side mirror is like a sunny winter day with blue skies high up in the Swedish mountains. Superb!

Britax Max-Way Plus in a Toyota RAV4. Grandparents need a safe and awesome seat to occasionally transport 1.5 year old grandchild. Tough to find anything better than a very affordable pre-owned MW Plus.
A seat we also mostly use in Sweden for seat rentals. Definitely top three of the best rear facing seats ever made and a fancier version of the regular Max-Way. Affordable, extremely light (7 kg), Plustested, very compact and rear facing to around 120-125 cm.
Only one downside, two if we are picky. It works very poorly in front passenger seat with airbag off due to crappy view in side mirror. Rear facing to 120-125 was excellent when Max-Way arrived in 2012. Today we have many seats lasting far longer, about age nine, which could possibly be a (picky) downside.
Angle around 35 degrees, easy to attach tether straps under seat rails and plenty of space for a tall adult up front.

Axkid Minikid 4 Max and BeSafe Stretch in a Volvo V90. We are trying new seats to replace an infant seat up front. Stretch already in place in back seat. Minikid 4 Max, 4 Pro och Minikid Core are always best in front passenger seat. Not because of safety, but because right mirror can be seen. We try all seats, also Stretch which (almost) always provide poor view. Minikid 4 installed with 30 degree angle and airbag off. Unable to provide lots of leg space since Stretch needs quite a bit of room. Awesome view in right side mirror. No angle adjuster needed and angle can be increased slightly by pulling straps even tighter. At Axkid`s safety conference on Thursday the brand new ONE 4 was shown. An awesome multi-stage seat which slaughters everything on the market. BUT… Everyone seems to have missed the major “news” which was hidden at the far end. Let`s call it “Axkid ONE 5”, a premium rear facing seat which would kill in Sweden/EU.
We are looking at a rear facing seat with belt installation to 36 kg, Plus Test, ultra fast installation, adjustable leg space and change of sleep position while driving.
Installation with seat belt and change of sleep position while driving is extremely rare. BeSafe Stretch and the very old Maxi-Cosi Mobi are basically the only seats providing this sought after feature.
Video shows nothing secret and the version of ONE 3 in US which was recently released. In US, the FVMSS 213 standard is used, similar to our R129 but still different. Self-certification, sled at the crash lab has no floor which does not allow for support leg (crash test without leg), LATCH is often used together with top tether, etc.
ONE 3 in the fantastic USA was recently launched and will be a great success. At the event I surprisingly saw zero people looking at or asking about the US version despite a nice presentation by Holly and Jamie.
The US version can be installed with LATCH/Isofix but installation with seat belt is also a requirement. A potential seat in Sweden/EU could only be installed with seat belt as the R129 regulation prohibit both together.
I have been working on product development together with several manufacturers for many years. Everything that is discussed is of course top secret. I have no inside information that a ONE 3 with belt installation is coming to Sweden/EU but it’s a logical conclusion since the seat is “basically ready”.
Remove Isofix, include the "hooks" from the US version, add the awesome tether straps from Minikid 4 Max, raise the headrest slightly and the product is complete. A rear facing seat which would dominate in the premium segment. #rearfacing #axkid #axkidone5
Axkid yesterday introduced ONE 4 which is a multi-stage or all-in-one seat. This has during the last few years (unfortunately) been the strongest growing segment of the market.
Why do we say “unfortunately”? 99% of seats in this segment are nothing but crap. Almost always far too short rear facing time which means parents will turn kids forward years too early. Some of the multi-stage seats are also basically death traps which we’ve seen in testing by ADAC, etc.
The seat is basically a combination of ONE 3, UP and an ultra light infant seat with swivel. Rear facing to 125 cm, which is extremely important, and max weight of 21 kg. This means kids can usually stay rear facing to 6+ years.
ONE 4 will work from birth to around 10-12 years without large compromises. The seat is still extremely compact in rear facing mode with the same amazing adjustable leg space as ONE 3. When seat is turned forward it’s similar to the awesome booster UP.
Infant seat will be ultra light, in video a 3D-printed prototype. Price around €1K and with infant seat approx. €1.2k. #rearfacing #axkid #axkidone4

Axkid Minikid 4 Pro in an Audi A3 with airbag off. New baby on the way and trying seats which should fit both up front and in the rear.
Car has Isofix in front seat but ONE 3 is not a good fit. View in right mirror slightly better with Minikid 4 compared to Minikid Core.
Installed with 30-35 degree angle and built in angle adjuster in position two. No problem attaching tether straps under seat rails and these were also crossed behind the seat.

Axkid Spinkid 2 in a Kia Niro. This is a common car with great space up front for a tall adult.
Difficult to see in the photos but connectors for Isofix are located relatively high up on the vehicle seat which means more angle than usual is available with Spinkid. Around 45 degree is maximum which is way too much for a one year old.
Good to know so that full recline can be avoided. It`s recommended not to exceed 35 degrees for rear facing seats.

Axkid Minikid 4 Pro in a Volvo V60. Some say the car feels tight but I think there is plenty of space for kids and car seats.
Lots of room up front for a tall adult and good leg space for child. As usual easy to install in Volvo thanks to the built in attachment loops.

Axkid ONE in a Skoda Octavia. Driver is an average male and I would describe leg space as quite good:-).
Octavia is a popular family car and it`s awesome to see how the brand has progressed. 20 years ago Skoda was crap and now they make great cars.
No problem fitting three rear facing seats in back seat, two next to each other with a large adult or having one in front seat with airbag off. Infant seat in background as you can see right now not perfectly installed:-)

Axkid Minikid 4 Max and BeSafe Stretch in a VW Tiguan. Stretch already in place in back seat and new rear facing seat up front needed.
Preference is Minikid 4 Max and we make sure that view in right side mirror is great. Attachment loops in front and rear make installation very quick.
Extra long in the rear and long in the front. No lower straps needed, built in straps for both seats now hooked directly to loops.
Minikid with 30-35 degree angle, airbag off and no angle adjuster needed. Stretch is installed firmer by pulling up support leg, pushing down and wiggling seat and then extending leg again. Now rock solid.

Axkid Minikid 4 Max and Minikid 3 in a VW Golf. Trying seats for a young toddler moving up from an infant seat. Older Minikid 3 already in place in back seat.
New seat should fit both in front and rear which limits the selection. Minikid 4 Pro/4 Max and Minikid Core are the options since view in right side mirror then is great. Two seats in back seat works fine but Minikid 4 Max up front is preferred.
Installed with 35 degree angle and angle adjuster. Easy to attach tether straps under rails and we crossed straps behind seat for easier and more firm installation.

Axkid Minikid 4 Pro in a Renault Scenic. Child is outgrowing her Britax Dualfix and it`s always great to see parents who continue rear facing when forward facing is an alternative. Dualfix will now be used by younger sibling. Trying various seats in different positions and preference is two seats next to each other to also fit three adults. This is normally very difficult when using Isofix but this car is surprisingly spacious. BeSafe Stretch also fits quite well which is a bit unusual due to the ARB. Minikid installed with great leg space and generous angle with built in angle adjuster in upright position. Axkid Minikid Core in a Honda Civic. Trying seats for parents, need one which is fairly easy to move between cars. Household does not own a car and a few different ones are used.
Trying mainly Axkid ONE 3 and Minikid Core since these are easiest to install. A big plus is if grandparents also can install the seat. Rear facing seats with tether straps more or less ruled out.
ONE 3 a great fit but it`s still unusual with Isofix in the front seat. Core selected and placed in the more upright position for a short ride home with good space up front. Easy install, thread seat belt through front of seat, close green clamps and then extend support leg.

Axkid Minikid Pro in a VW ID.7. Very spacious and perfect for car seats. Almost feel like a waste with only one seat since several can fit without issues.
Angle around 30-35 degrees and built in angle adjuster in position two. Good legroom for child and giant space up front. We could easily increase legroom for child with an additional 15 cm if needed.
Tether straps attached under seat rails which works fine. Follow our detailed video for a VW Enyaq if you want to install attachment loops by yourself. Same installation in ID.7 with extra long loops in the back and long up front.

Axkid Minikid Pro and Britax Max-Way in a Volvo XC60. Max-Way already in place behind passenger and another rear facing seat is needed.
We try a few different seats in various positions and decision is two seats next to each other. We move MW to the middle, fix the limiter strap and attach tether straps to the built in loops instead of wrapped around the seat.
Minikid 4 Pro then installed behind passenger with good leg space and around 30 degree angle. Built in angle adjuster in position two and straps connected to loops.
