Axkid Minikid Core – Coastal Storm Black

Axkid Core is a rear facing car seat approved 40-125 cm according to the R129 standard.  Installation with seat belt, very compact, two positions for recline, adjustable leg space, Plus Test approved and also not using any tether straps.

Core is approved 40-125 cm which means from birth to around seven years.  Maximum weight is an impressive 28 kg. Installation with seat belt means great compatibility.  Size is compact depth wise which means Core will fit nicely in pretty much any car small to large, new or old. Seat will fit well in front seat with airbag off and is also usually a good option in middle rear of second row.

Seat is not using any tether straps which means very fast and easy installation. Simply attach seat belt and extend support leg. Done!  This is helpful in back seat but even more so in front seat with airbag off.  View in right side mirror is usually excellent and it’s easy to install seat bracing against dashboard.

Safety is of course important. It’s impressive for any seat to pass the ultra tough Plus Test.  Axkid Core is the first Plustested seat in the world with belt installation without tether straps which is an amazing accomplishment.  Core also has ASIP, the extra side cushion,  for better side impact protection

Angle of the seat is adjustable in two positions by rotating bottom part of the base.  Head support is adjusted by one hand in eight positions and the anti-rebound bar has four positions.  Use little leg space for small kids to maximise space in the car and extend for larger kids.

The included baby insert provides nice support and will work from birth if needed. Both insert and textile of the seat contain no chemicals and are washable at 30 degrees.
