Vario 5Z is rotatable 360 degrees which makes it easy to insert and fasten your child. The base also has six different recline positions. Very practical as modern cars often have vehicle seats sloping more than usual. There is then risk of child’s head falling forward which is uncomfortable and not good for safety. With Vario 5Z it’s always possible to find a great angle regardless of car.
Base has an adjustable anti-rotation bar which provides more solid installation and increased legroom for the child. Vario 5Z is installed with Isofix and a support leg. There are clear indicators showing when leg is correctly positioned. If support leg is not installed correctly it will make a beeping sound. Isofix connectors have been upgraded and are now extended separately from each other which makes installation easier.
When child has outgrown the infant seat you can keep the base and use one of the rear-facing seats Dualfix 5Z, Dualfix 3 and Dualfix isense which are rear-facing to about four years. Fits infant seats Britax Römer Baby-Safe Pro, Baby-Safe 5Z2, isense, Baby-Safe 3 and Baby-Safe Core. Approved for the newer standard R129 (i-Size).
