Axkid Minikid 4 – Brick Melange

Axkid Minikid 4 is an updated version of the popular Minikid 3.  Approved rear facing from 61 cm for the new R129 (i-Size) car seat standard with a maximum weight of 36 kg and of course approved for the ultra tough Plus Test.  Head support automatically adjusted to correct height, self-locking tether straps, very compact size, massive leg space possible, ASIP and an extremely tall back lasting until age 7+ or 135-140 cm.

Updates from Minikid 3 are:

• Redesigned and more open head support
• Removable comfort pad for the back
• Baby insert updated with memory foam and mesh fabric to provide better support and ventilation for the youngest ones
• New and softer textile

Minikid 4 is installed in 60 seconds or less thanks to the self-locking tether straps and a single belt clip in middle of the seat. Fasten seat belt, attach tether straps, push down slightly on seat while wiggling side to side and seat will be rock solid.  Very detailed instructions for installation are also available by BILT.  Simply point your smartphone camera to the QR code and easy step by step videos and photos will be shown.  Very helpful for those not used to installing rear facing seats.  Despite its very impressive capacity Minikid 4 is one of the most compact rear facing seats available and will fit well in cars small to large.

Head support has been completely redesigned. Head of child is pushed forward much less for better comfort/sleep and design is also far more open. A huge and requested improvement. Head support is automatically adjusted to correct height by placing child in the seat and tightening harness.  Head support will then automatically move down to the correct level.  There is also manual adjustment available in 14 positions by using locking handle on top of the seat.  Angle is adjusted in four different positions by adjusting bar under front of seat.  Use the optional angle adjuster in cars where vehicle seats slope more than usual.

Leg space for child is adjustable according to your preferences.  For young children no leg space is needed and Minikid 4 can be installed against back of vehicle seat making it very compact.  Install seat further forward on vehicle seat for older children to provide an additional 30 cm of leg space if needed.  Minikid 4 is officially approved 61-125 cm according to the R129 car seat standard but the seat will last to an amazing 7+ years or around 135-140 cm with a maximum weight of 36 kg.

Minikid 4 has spacious inside dimensions and exterior width is only 44 cm which is very helpful when placing two or more seats next to each other or wanting to maximise space for adults.  Seat is Plus Test approved for maximum safety and also has ASIP (Axkid Side Impact Protection) in case of a collision from the side.  Textile has also been upgraded and all colors now have the same thicker textile as the Minikid 3 “Premium” versions for better comfort.  Textile contain no chemicals, is easily removed and washed at 30 degrees.
