Axkid Minikid 2 (2022/23) – Premium Granite Melange

The upgraded Axkid Minikid 2 (2022/23) is an award-winning car seat that grows with your child. A car seat that allow your child to travel rear facing around 6-7 years of age. Easy installation, comfortable positioning, self adjusting tether straps and head support with amazing safety.

The new version have some nice improvements.  The already tall back is now even taller for longer rear facing time. The fabric has been updated with a material providing more stretch and better fit. Removing the fabric for cleaning is now ultra easy and the Premium colors have further updates.

Differences between Minikid 2 and Minikid 2 Premium?  – The Minikid 2 Premium offer a higher comfort thanks to a seat cover with extra padding. The premium version also come with colour matched headrest, branded premium zippers and meshed back cover on the seat.

Minikid 2 – A secure and spacious seat with smart features
The seat is designed with a Swedish safety-mindset into its DNA allowing rear-facing to 6-7 years of age but still require limited space.  Minikid 2 is compact despite its large capacity and will fit well in pretty much any car small to large.  Leg space for child is adjusted at installation, select little or lots of space depending on your needs. The self adjusting head support has been upgraded in this new model allowing for an additional 2 cm of height for even longer rear facing time.  We normally say that Minikid 2 now last until age 6-7 or 125-130 cm of height.

Approved 0-25 kg (0-55 lbs) with Plus Test
Minikid 2 is approved 0-25 kg but we recommend not placing very young children in the seat.  Use an infant seat for the newborn and general advice is to switch to a Minikid 2 when child can sit up without assistance and harness can be lowered to shoulder height. Minikid 2 does of course offer the ultimate safety which means passing the very tough Plus Test.

Easy installation and secure handling
More than 60% car seats are to some extent installed incorrectly. The unique self-tightening tether straps featured on the Minikid 2 make installation smooth as the seat is  “wiggled” into place. Simply place the seat in position on vehicle seat, attach the straps and slightly push down on the seat while wiggling from side to side.  The seat is now installed rock solid. Angle of the seat is easily changed in four positions with the bar under front of seat.  Use the optional angle adjuster for cars with vehicle seats sloping more than usual to make sure your child has a nice sleep position.

Comfortable and secure positioning
Axkid Minikid 2 is the only seat with a self adjusting head support which always stay at correct height.   That means shoulder straps at shoulder height and the head support snugly around head of child.  The head support also has manual positioning for those who prefer a fixed position.  Simply move the manual brake to a locked position and head support will stay at your selected height.

Upon a side collision, ASIP is built to deform and absorb the crash energy before it reaches your child.

Improved fabric
The new fabric allow more stretch for a better fit.  Removing fabric is now far easier thanks to the easy push buttons below front of seat.  Fabric contains no chemicals and is washed at 30 degrees.
